According to Google, Orkut to shut down by the end of 2014. The very first social networking site by Google which was launched back in 2004 is now counting its last days. Orkut which is very popular in Brazil, Asia and U.S is now surviving hardly in competition to other social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter around the globe. Today 50 percent of Orkut users are in Brazil, 20 percent in India and fewer than 18 percent are from the Pakistan and U.S.
In 2010, Facebook overtook Orkut as the top social networking site in India with 20.9 million visitors and after the introduction of Google plus the usage of Orkut become more less and the service also did not do well in other parts of the world, having heavy competitors in race and finally Google took the decision to shut down their very first social networking site. On September 30, 2014, Orkut will be officially shut down. At that point, users won’t be able to log in anymore to Orkut. The company said it would preserve an archive of all Orkut “communities” that will be available from 30th September.
“If you don’t want your posts or name to be included in the community archive, you can remove Orkut permanently from your Google account,”Said Google.

5 years of services at Peshawar Islamabad & Abbottabad
Started their work in 2009 having a small team, Jago Youth Organization is on their way to be a one of the well-known youth organization in Pakistan. Jago Youth Organization will complete their five years of excellence work this Ramadan and now is counted among successful organizations working in major cities of Pakistan with above 500 plus members in different cities serving youth and organizing different youth events and other activities for different age groups. The team is working on behalf of youth and set different type of events at different times, which include school activities and youth grooming sessions at schools, colleges and universities having their recent session at comsats institute of information technology Abbottabad campus .
Jago Youth Organization is also helping and sharing hands with orphans at different orphan houses and helping the needy ones in the holy month of Ramadan by arranging Aftar for the deserving people. The organization also have their blood donor society working in Abbottabad region, another milestone covered by Jago Youth Organization this year by establishing “Jago Youth Adventure Club” which have already organized trips to adventures part of Pakistan this year involving their recent trips to Neelam Valley and Mushkpuri top, their coming trip is of 7 days adventurous tour to Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Deosai and Rama Meadows.
Jago Youth Organization was initially started as a small project team for Peshawar region and restricted their work to Peshawar initially, but slowly and progressively Jogo Youth Organization wings expended to main cities of Pakistan and now having branches in Islamabad, Abbottabad, and Peshawar and soon they are starting Swat & Malakand Chapters.
Jogo Youth Organization is on their way to launching Project Falah this Ramadan which will cover Aftar for deserving ones in Abbottabad and Peshawar. The team will give Aftar to needy ones on 13th of July in Abbottabad and then in Peshawar on 19th of July. Project falah will covers Aftaar for up to 1000 poor and needy people during the Holy month of Ramadan. Jago Youth Organization will organize Aftar in Peshawar as well as in Abbottabad. In parallel the needy people will be provided with food packets (Rashan) for the holy month. The working members are highly motivated for this good cause.
