According to Google, Orkut to shut down by the end of 2014. The very first social networking site by Google which was launched back in 2004 is now counting its last days. Orkut which is very popular in Brazil, Asia and U.S is now surviving hardly in competition to other social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter around the globe. Today 50 percent of Orkut users are in Brazil, 20 percent in India and fewer than 18 percent are from the Pakistan and U.S.
In 2010, Facebook overtook Orkut as the top social networking site in India with 20.9 million visitors and after the introduction of Google plus the usage of Orkut become more less and the service also did not do well in other parts of the world, having heavy competitors in race and finally Google took the decision to shut down their very first social networking site. On September 30, 2014, Orkut will be officially shut down. At that point, users won’t be able to log in anymore to Orkut. The company said it would preserve an archive of all Orkut “communities” that will be available from 30th September.
“If you don’t want your posts or name to be included in the community archive, you can remove Orkut permanently from your Google account,”Said Google.

Google I/O is developers conference held at Moscone Centre San Francisco last week and over 1 million people watched the conference on the live streams around the world. Listed below are the top three announcements at Google I/O 2014 conferences.
Google Android L
Android L will be leading android operating system this year, its the latest version of android previewed at this years google I/O conference. Android L mainly focuses on design and performance with the better notification system. Android L introduces the intelligent Material Design concept for the first time which focuses on design and user experience and provide a better view and interaction of user with the layout of UI. Apps will programmatically changes its color to the surroundings of application. Lets say if we are using music player, the music player will automatically adopt its color intelligently with the selected album cover of the songs being played. Android L will be release by the end of this year, expected release dates are between 23 September and 23 December.
As a rival to Apple’s Car play, Google introduces Android auto. Google points out that 25% of the accidents on the road occur because people use their phones while driving. Keeping this in mind for the safety of the user while driving Google introduced “Android auto”. With Android auto all important information you need will be at your car dashboard screen and you can use Android auto to make phone calls, send texts, control and play music, and importantly control different apps including Google maps to get directions you need just by your voice commands and also keeping your eyes on the road.
From playing games to watching movie now our hands will be on Android TV . With its voice search commands via our phone we can listen to any kind of music or can watch any movie on our TV screens. Saying “X-Men,” “johnny depp movies,” or other types of search will bring up recommendations based on the searched keywords. Android wearable can also control Android TV. Gaming is another feature of Android TV, now users can play multiplayer games with others using their phone as first and android TV as multiple console option.
5 years of services at Peshawar Islamabad & Abbottabad
Started their work in 2009 having a small team, Jago Youth Organization is on their way to be a one of the well-known youth organization in Pakistan. Jago Youth Organization will complete their five years of excellence work this Ramadan and now is counted among successful organizations working in major cities of Pakistan with above 500 plus members in different cities serving youth and organizing different youth events and other activities for different age groups. The team is working on behalf of youth and set different type of events at different times, which include school activities and youth grooming sessions at schools, colleges and universities having their recent session at comsats institute of information technology Abbottabad campus .
Jago Youth Organization is also helping and sharing hands with orphans at different orphan houses and helping the needy ones in the holy month of Ramadan by arranging Aftar for the deserving people. The organization also have their blood donor society working in Abbottabad region, another milestone covered by Jago Youth Organization this year by establishing “Jago Youth Adventure Club” which have already organized trips to adventures part of Pakistan this year involving their recent trips to Neelam Valley and Mushkpuri top, their coming trip is of 7 days adventurous tour to Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Deosai and Rama Meadows.
Jago Youth Organization was initially started as a small project team for Peshawar region and restricted their work to Peshawar initially, but slowly and progressively Jogo Youth Organization wings expended to main cities of Pakistan and now having branches in Islamabad, Abbottabad, and Peshawar and soon they are starting Swat & Malakand Chapters.
Jogo Youth Organization is on their way to launching Project Falah this Ramadan which will cover Aftar for deserving ones in Abbottabad and Peshawar. The team will give Aftar to needy ones on 13th of July in Abbottabad and then in Peshawar on 19th of July. Project falah will covers Aftaar for up to 1000 poor and needy people during the Holy month of Ramadan. Jago Youth Organization will organize Aftar in Peshawar as well as in Abbottabad. In parallel the needy people will be provided with food packets (Rashan) for the holy month. The working members are highly motivated for this good cause.
Yes you will be surprised by reading the title but its true, Pakistan is still present on the fields of Brazil in every football world cup match of the tournament, because of “Adidas Brazuca” which is official match ball for Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup. These official balls are made and produced by Pakistani sports factory in the eastern town of Sialkot, Pakistan.
Even though Pakistan has never played in a football world cup, no other team would have had the chance to play it, if Pakistan did not produce the ball.These balls were assembled by Pakistani women paid 10,000 Pakistani rupees a month ($101), less than the price of a single ball. Ninety percent of workers in the factory are women. From flat panel to finished product, the process takes up to 40 minutes. The factory produces up to 100 balls per hour and despite witnessing financial crisis in the past, the football industry in Sialkot is going strong. Over Forty million foot balls, worth about $210 million are produced in Sialkot every year.
Sialkot is known as one of the leading sports goods industries in the world. This factory can produce over 30,000 footballs in a single day.
Brazilian Ambassador Alfredo Leoni said, “It was a matter of great pride that the World Cup [soccer balls] were provided by a Pakistani company, giving Pakistan a connection with the global contest.”
